I've just recently been introduced to emulation, although only surface level. Was wondering if there's any tips or basic run throughs that would be helpful. My goal is to try it out on Animal Crossing New leaf before buying a steam deck basically.

Depending on what you're emulating, it can be either really simple or a bit of a pain in the ass. Your best bet would be to look at the emulator websites or emulator wikis. They'll usually give you an idea of what they have working so far or what the best settings for specific games are.

Since AC is a first party title, odds are it'll work well enough though.
